Air Conditioning Sales is part of the Thorne Group of associated air conditioning companies and is based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. The group has been established since January 1987 and was formed to provide an expert and professional service to an area that had been previously seen as lacking in expertise and the necessary skills and training.

We are proud and take credit for the fact that Air Conditioning is becoming a much more specialised business, and one that is definitely attracting more skilled staff. Consequently the build, the quality and the sophisticated controls have improved a hundred fold, and modern air conditioning units are now totally reliable and their quality appearance will enhance any area.

Since its formation the group has endeavoured to remain small enough to give a personal and knowledgeable service to customers at all times. The group operate a commitment to quality and guarantee that the customer will always receive the finest equipment, and the best service at the lowest cost.

Our reputation has, over the years, grown to such an extent that our customer base is now huge. Obviously we now occasionally struggle to maintain a close contact with our customers and retain a personal presence. Contact with our customers however is paramount, and friendly advice when required, are the strengths of our business. We will always ensure therefore that adequate staffing is maintained at all times to attend to our friends, no matter how large our organisation becomes.

Delivery and Guarantees

To ensure all your ordered goods reach you in pristine condition, our group operate their own fleet of delivery vehicles and drivers. If items are in stock, they are despatched within 5 working days of your order and payment.

During the very warm Summer months, overseas shipping delays could cause some goods to run temporarily out of stock. In these instances we will immediately advise you of any delay and give the expected time of arrival.

Although we will of course give you alternative options, we would recommend that you place your order early before the rush starts.

Where we deliver air conditioning that will require installing, we provide a service that may be of interest to you. Our drivers have been fully trained in maintenance and installation of air conditioning, as well as in estimating. With your permission, our driver can briefly survey your room/s while he is delivering, and we will then forward you a written quotation to carry out the complete installation on your behalf.

Our installations are subsidised and guaranteed and also allow for a free 6 month service and maintenance visit. The very low cost will surprise you, and you will possibly agree that it is cheaper and less trouble than doing it yourself.

There is no charge for this service and there is certainly no commitment to use our services.

Mobile Air Conditioning - Installation

The small mobile and portable air conditioning units are designed for immediate operation in any location, and they operate from a standard 13amp electrical socket.

The small single cabinet mobile unit is supplied with a small flexible hose to allow the heat exchanger to remove the hot damp air from the room.

The split system portable units are a slightly larger duty portable air conditioning unit, and these consist of two cabinets connected together by a small flexible umbilical pipe. The smaller cabinet is designed to be outside the conditioned room, and this allows a far higher cooling duty from the air conditioning unit.

Fixed Installation

All our air conditioning systems are selected for their reliability and ease of installation, and they come complete with step by step installation instructions.

We do however have a nationwide network of skilled and authorised installation engineers to carry out any installation of any size or type according to your requirements. Our Engineers are initially trained to a high skill level, and continue to attend refresher courses and upgrading in order to give you the opportunity of top quality installations. As part of our service to you, we contribute to the installation costs to give you fully installed equipmentat the very lowest price.

Fixed installations are by far the neatest and most poweful systems and we would strongly recommend them. The added features, modern designs and capabilities of the up to the minute air conditioning equipment would surprise you. Look at the wall mounted, ceiling suspended, or the ceiling mounted cassette systems in our range. Heat pump or cooling only.

Although installation charges would be based on a site survey, this is easily arranged as described in our Delivery and Guarantees section, and they are so very modest it is well worth your consideration.

We can also give quotations for the supply and installation of any other make of air conditioning equipment you may require, any size and any amount. Before you make out an order to anyone else, check our charges first. We can install in the home, office, workshop, factory etc., etc.

Modern air conditioning systems should last you for very many years, so it is best to get it right first time. These people are generally also very difficult to locate after you have paid and discover the systems do not cope. Our advice would be to not give an order elsewhere until you have checked out our prices and equipment. If we are beaten on price it will be, as always, because the lower price is achieved through using smaller duty or cheaper inferior equipment - Before ordering always ask for equipment details, especially the duties, and you ought to ask to see some professional Heat Gain calculations covering your proposals.
